Pinspiration – numero tres

So if you haven’t heard of Pinterest let me tell you a little bit about it. According to its Wikipedia page, Pinterest is a vision board-styled social photo sharing website.

Basically, while you’re searching surfing the web looking up new recipes or new shoes or even checking out a DIY blog, when you see something you like, you “pin it”. You have to download the “pin it” button onto your browser first but once you do, you can pin away! You can also go to Pinterest’s website and repin others’ pins. Keep in mind that you’ll have to create an account first.

Moving on….to my third pin-spiration – Slow Cooker Cheesy Chicken.

I saw this a little over a month ago and thought that it’d be a pretty easy meal to cook. I normally only use my slow cooker to make pot roast. I tried a couple of recipes a few years back and they didn’t turn out so well. So I decided to put it away.

But I saw this baby and thought it might be time to break out the slow cooker.

Here are the ingredients. Chicken, cheddar cheese, onion, Zatarain’s yellow rice, cream of chicken, and whole kernal corn.

First, you place the chicken in the pot and then dice up the onion and place it over the chicken.

Then you break open the cream of chicken and pour it over the chicken and diced onion.

When these three are in place, set the slow cooker on high (4 hours) or low (8 hours) and let it do its thang.

Once the time is up, place the cooked rice, cheese, and corn in the pot and then mix together.

All mixed up and ready to eat!!!

And it was a….winner!! Both of us really liked it and it was super easy to make so it is most definitely going into my saved recipes.

Do you have a Pinterest account? Are you pinning galore? Have you been pin-spired by anything? =)

Thanks for reading!
