my life in pictures and words

Faucet that!

I’ve changed the vanity light and the faucet in the guest bathroom, vanity light in the half bathroom, and painted the pantry.

Throughout all those projects I did not have a light since I was either working on the light, under the cabinet, or in a room (pantry) where there was no light. I had to borrow Paul’s Joby GorillaTorch which you can see in the following photos.

After waiting and waiting and waiting, we finally broke down and purchased the Joby GorillaTorch Switchback Light/Lamp

So, here I am with my new Joby GorillaTorch Switchback Light/Lamp. So, so, soooo excited that I get to use it.

Can you tell I’m smiling? I am SUPER smiling because I’m so excited to be using my new light. =)

First things first. Let’s start with some before pictures.

Faucet before.

I thought that I could use the faucet connectors that I had purchased for the master bathroom. But when I brought them down I realized that they were too short. So I took a trip to Home Depot to get the right length and then got started.

One thing I learned from installing the guest bath faucet that I should have some plastic placed underneath the sink for all the gunk that will be coming out. Remember this? Blech!

Which is why you (hopefully) can see plastic at the bottom of this picture. After I removed the faucet and old pipes, I installed the new threaded connectors which you can see here. Also shown in this picture is the removed u-shape drain. I had some trouble removing it so my DH helped me.

I removed the drain and then felt like puking again because of all the nastiness that came off with it.

Do I know how to gross you out or what?!?! Haha.

Here is underneath the sink after.

Do you like the new color? It matches all the accessories that replaced the ugly chrome/builders grade stuff.

And now for some close-ups.

That’s that. Now all I have left are the two in the master bathroom.

Until then….

Happy Monday and thanks for reading!
