My friend, Melissa, came to visit during the week of Thanksgiving since Paul wasn’t home. We had a great time. We went down to Cincinnati and walked around the city for a bit. Then we just hung around Dayton the rest of the week. Here are some photos of our adventures. But mostly they’re pictures of Melissa at different restaurants because that’s pretty much the only time i took pictures. Hence the title for this post.
The first stop from the airport was not my house, but Graeters ice cream.
We woke up early Saturday morning to get some breakfast at the second street market in downtown dayton. We have here a breakfast pie that consists of egg, potatoes, sausage, cheese, and bacon. The other “pie” is an apple popover. They both were so delicious i would go again.
the next five photos are from our queen city underground tour.
a beautiful tree in the courtyard at the saint francis church and friary that was on the tour.
on the way back from the church we saw these beautiful fall colors. melissa’s camera’s battery died so she made me take these photos for her. we loved how the blue on the van contrasted with the oranges and yellows and greens of the tree.
before heading home we walked around the area a bit and saw this beautiful yard in front of this beautifully built building. melissa thought it was a church but it really is just the cincinnati music hall.
i had to work the mornings of monday thru wednesday, which worked for melissa since she slept in til i got home. so we went out to this japanese korean restaurant for lunch on monday. it was pretty good.
on the way to the airport we stopped at graeter’s one last time. this was our fourth time there. in.a.week. so the manager let us take a picture behind the counter. melissa doesn’t look too happy but trust me she was!!
thanks for visiting, melissa!!
