first start by sauteeing garlic, basil, oregano, onion powder, sugar, and salt.

then add the crushed tomatoes and tomato paste.  stir to combine and let simmer, stirring every five minutes or so.

after about 30-40 minutes of simmering and stirring it looks like this.

once the sauce has cooled, jar it and use as needed.

this sauce is very delicious. it works great for when we have pizza night. and it’s good for about three weeks. score! and it can be frozen! even better!
