Gingham or Buffalo Check? aka Pinspiration numero -sesenta y cuatro

Just like the blogger says in her post about this pattern, I have no idea which is the correct term.  Is it Buffalo Check or Gingham?  Either way, this look has been catching my eye and when I saw this on pinterest I knew I had to make one.

I had bought this cute print in charm squares and cake layers but didn’t know what to do with it.  So when I saw the above pattern, I thought it would be perfect.

I love the all the colors! This is the front.

This is the back.  I wanted to incorporate the cake layers in somehow and thought that it showed more of the print this way.

For the middle, I used a yellow fleece that I had in my stash.  The color shows through a bit under the white pieces but because there is yellow in the prints I felt that it worked well.

I don’t remember the name of the print or the designer but I got these from Massdrop a while ago.

Regardless of what the correct name of the pattern is I really like it and want to make more.  I don’t know if I like the solid color look, first photo, or the print look, shown above.

What do you think is the correct name and which look do you like better?

Weekly Photo Challenge: Blue

Band aid.

image

This morning while chopping up some lettuce I accidentally cut my thumb.  I cleaned it up and went to get a band aid.  It was so strange that they were all blue.

But it actually worked out perfectly since this weeks challenge is Blue.  I was thinking of taking a picture of the sky or my car or a dasani water bottle but thought the blue band aid was more unique.

Hope you’re all having a great start of a new week!
