Laundry Room, under construction
We’re finally here at the construction of the laundry room! You can see one of the sneak peeks here.
But before I get started, here’s a shot of the sign that is hanging above.
Here are some before shots.
Can you tell how much I disliked our laundry room?
And one of our beautiful washer and dryer. =)
Now that we’ve got those out of the way, let’s get started!
Here’s the first photo after we emptied the room.
Lo and behold, here’s what we found….
I took down all the detergent bottles and got started on removing the NASTY wire shelf. I couldn’t do it on my own so I asked Paul for help.
We got it down, removed the screws, and filled the holes.
Once I got that done, I started painting the walls. As you can see, I went with a mustard-y yellow.
After the second coat finished drying, I started installing the track system.
Made sure it was all level before completely installing everything.
Here’s a little “behind the scenes” of what we did with the hose/power cord.
Here’s our new light fixture, in the box….
Here are the new shelves almost complete.
And I got the hanging bar up! Now we can hang clothes to dry!!
To save room on the door, I moved the ironing board & iron into the room.
Now all I needed to decide on was which storage cube I wanted to use. Here is a picture of the final three.
Which storage cube do you think I ended up going with? Which one would you prefer?
Find out next week in “The Big Reveal”!!
Happy Tuesday!! And thanks for reading!
